OHBM Educational Course on Whole-brain Models / OHBM 2023
Two Truths and a Lie:
-
Our course will feature renowned speakers who have mastered the art of brain dynamics models. They can use brainwave frequency that induces an uncontrollable urge to do the chicken dance.
- As organizers, we ensure an engaging experience for all participants. To achieve this, we have developed a mind-reading device. It detects sleepiness during lectures and deploys tickling robots to jolt back full attention.
- One of our guest speakers claims to have invented a "Brainwave Translator" that can decipher what squirrels are saying. Unfortunately, during the testing phase, and all we got were nutty conspiracy theories. We'll keep trying, though!
Course Description
Our aim is to provide an advanced yet accessible showcase of, and introduction to, the latest cutting-edge work in whole-brain (also known as ‘large-scale’ or ‘connectome-based’) network modelling in contemporary human brain mapping research. This field represents an integrative convergence of data, concepts, and techniques from structural+functional neuroimaging, systems+cognitive neuroscience, dynamical systems+network science, neurology+psychiatry, computational neuroscience, and machine learning.
This Educational Course is part of The Organization for Human Brain Mapping (OHBM) 29th Annual Meeting
